Paul Mitchell (Managing Partner)
Paul is able to advise on all aspects of business disputes and has almost 30 years’ experience in the field of litigation. He advises on a wide range of contentious litigation issues including contractual disputes, injunctions, minority shareholder actions, business and share sale disputes, and insolvency cases, as well as the all-important business matter of debt collection. He has a particular interest in advising on injunctions to prevent unlawful competition, often by former employees or partners.
He has experience of dealing with complex frauds, and of conducting cases successfully up to and including the House of Lords.
He has also successfully completed the ACTAPS course – the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists – and so is able to advise on will and trust disputes.

Parminder Sandhu (Associate Solicitor)
Parminder joined Mitchell Wilde in January 2012 as a paralegal, and took a training contract with us soon after. During her training contract Parminder gained experience in Commercial Law, Commercial Property, Litigation and Wills & Probate. She qualified as a solicitor in June 2014.
Before joining the legal profession Parminder enjoyed a number of years in retail, where she gained experience in employment, health & safety and licensing. All of which have assisted her in a variety of cases she has handled.
Parminder’s specialist areas of law include business sales, commercial law and commercial property.

Natalie Thorpe (Solicitor)
Natalie joined the firm in January 2019 and commenced her training contract shortly afterwards. Natalie qualified as a solicitor in January 2021 and advises businesses and individuals on all aspects of litigation ranging from money and contractual claims, professional negligence claims, building disputes, property litigation and contentious probate disputes.
From the onset of a dispute through to resolution, Natalie advises of the options open to her client and helps them make well-informed decisions. Natalie’s knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules 1998 and experience in running and defending claims of behalf of clients, coupled with her ability to ‘think outside of the box’ to provide not only legal but practical solutions, is invaluable to her clients.
Natalie is described by clients as being extremely knowledgeable, committed, organised and supportive.
Education and background
Natalie graduated in 2016 with a First Class LLB (Hons) degree in Law with Criminology from Nottingham Trent University. Soon after graduation, Natalie joined a local Barristers Chambers in Nottingham to work as a clerk. Natalie went on to enrol on the part time Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School, with her electives in Advanced Civil Litigation, Advanced Commercial Property and Employment before joining Mitchell Wilde in January 2019 to pursue a career in litigation. Natalie achieved a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course and qualified with us in January 2021. Natalie wrote her masters (LLM) dissertation on contentious lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, achieving a Distinction.

Tom Mansell (Solicitor )
Tom graduated in 2017 with a First Class LLB (Hons) Law degree from the University of Hull.
Following a period working as a paralegal in a conveyancing team, Tom studied the LPC full time at Nottingham Law School, and completed the course in June 2019. He took electives in Advanced Commercial Property, Private Company Acquisitions and Employment. Soon after completing the LPC Tom joined Mitchell Wilde as a paralegal and then became a trainee solicitor. Tom qualified with us in November 2021.

Amrita Johal (Paralegal)
Amrita graduated in 2015 with a 2:1 LLB Law with French Law and Language degree from the University of Leicester, during which she spent a year abroad in Strasbourg, France.
After working in retail and recruitment administration, Amrita worked as a commercial property paralegal at a Nottingham law firm. She then went on to study the LPC full time at Nottingham Law School and chose electives in Advanced Commercial Property, Advanced Criminal Practice and Employment Law, achieving a Distinction overall.
Amrita joined Mitchell Wilde in January 2022 and assists with Commercial Property, Commercial Law and Litigation matters.
